Aqua Creations approaches light as a sculptural medium, experimenting with materials that inspire light to enrich space. The studio designs lighting pieces that are visually expressive and masterfully made, pairing original aesthetics with material innovation to transform Light into Art.

Founded in 1992, Aqua Creations draws inspiration from nature and organic structures, from the perfect form of a flower bud to the fractals of a crystal. Helmed by Albi Serfaty, Creative Director since 2011, the studio crafts lighting systems that are versatile in form and scale, adaptable to intimate residential settings, architectural projects, and monumental installations. Iconic permanent collections such as Morning Glory, Palm, Orchestra, Mod, Apaya, Nara, Jewel, and Stand By sit alongside contemporary families including ToTeM, Lakes, Code 130° and Mino, part of an ever-evolving oeuvre that continues to experiment in new materials, forms, and technology.

Pieces are handmade to order in the studio. The design process is guided by decades of material research, exploring how light is diffused through fabric or dynamic surfaces, ensuring materials can be both delicate and durable. Each piece is developed and assembled by an in-house team of artisans, designers, and makers working with hand-dyed Tussar silk, raw handmade paper, origami forms, felt, CNC-milled wood, polymer diffusers, and precision-bending metal frameworks, integrated into the studio’s signature methods.

Aqua Creations offers lighting solutions for private clients, architects, interior designers, and institutions, from single works to site-specific installations. The studio works closely with design teams to ensure lighting integrates with architectural context, material palette, and the desired quality of atmosphere.
